Approximately 4.00 cubic feet of Jerry Brown's International Permafrost Association files, includes meetings, correspondence and research files; also included are files from U.S. Committees on Permafrost and select Canadian committees, 1972-2008.
Jerry Brown holds Honorary degree from UAF (2010). He worked for the Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory, and was the Chairman of the U.S. Committee on Permafrost. Brown was President of the International Permafrost Association from 2003 to 2008 during which time the Ninth ICOP was organized and held at UAF.
