This collection consists of the project files, correspondence and administrative documents of the AAAS Project on Science, Technology and Disability.
The AAAS Project on Science, Technology and Disability was founded in 1975 under the Office of Opportunities in Science and did research on and offered support and networking for disabled scientists and engineers. The first director was Dr. Martha Redden Ozer, a doctor in educational psychology. Virginia Stern joined the staff in 1978 and took over as director in 1986.
