Daniel discovered the depilatory and burning effect of X-ray, published first in 1896 in the journal Science. The renowned physicist also designed and installed the first electric dynamo at Vanderbilt. Additionally, Daniel was a fellow in the American Association for the Advancement of Science. He passed away in 1950.
