Gabriel Kron papers, 1963-1969.
This collection contains letters from Kron to B. R. Gossick, dated from 1963 to 1966, many on the General Electric letterhead. The correspondence discusses the scientists' mutual work in Field Theory and semi-conductors, but also contains personal material. The collection also contains biographical material, a portrait photograph, obituary, and journal articles.
Gabriel Kron was an American engineer born in Hungary who worked for General Electric from 1934 until his death in 1968. He is perhaps best known for his Method of Tearing or Diakoptics. B. R. (Ben Rogers) Gossick (1914-1977) was a professor of physics and author of two books: Potential Barriers in Semiconductors, 1964 and Hamilton's Principle and Physical Systems, 1967.
