Chinese-American Engineer, Theodore Y, was professor of engineering science, emeritus, in the Division of Engineering and Applied Science. Dr. Wu was born in China and received his BSc. from ChiaoTung University (1946), his MS from Iowa State University (1948), and his PhD from Caltech (1952). His research areas include fluid dynamics, free-streamline theory of cavities, jets and wakes, water waves and free-surface flows, wind and ocean-current energy, and internal waves in the ocean.
