This collection contains the miscellaneous papers of Asa Fitch, which includes notes on orinthology, medicine, chemistry, astronomy, entomology, cloud formations, agriculture, and Washington county history. Also included are handdrawn geological maps, correspondence, lecture notes, and a diary.
American natural historian, entomologist, and multi-disciplinary scientist, Asa Fitch. He studied natural history and medicine at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, graduating in 1827.
