Two notebooks, April 12-July 14 and July 14-September 8, 1937, documenting development of the klystron tube by Russell Varian at Stanford University.
Co-inventor of the klystron tube, important in the development of radar. Varian worked at Stanford University, Humble Oil Company, Farnsworth Television Corporation, and the Sperry Gyroscope Company, before founding Varian associates with his brother, Sigmund.
