University of Virginia World War II records, 1938-1946, 1951, and undated.
This collection consists of the records of the University of Virginia and its participation in World War II. It is chiefly correspondence; applications, course outlines, instructor's notes, student papers, course work, examinations and grades; financial material, such as invoices; photographs; and historical material and speeches about World War II. The bulk of the collection documents the Army Air Force pre-meteorological program.
The University of Virginia was founded in 1819 by Thomas Jefferson.
