Percy Williams Bridgman personal archive, 1919-1959 and undated.
Collection includes 2 accessions. Accession 14686 : teaching materials - lecture notes for Physics courses, 1919-1947. Accession 19709 : Sixteen black and white photographs of Bridgman, dating from 1938, 1949, 1959, and undated. Includes formal portraits (some of which were taken by Paul H. Donaldson for the Cruft Photo Lab at Harvard), as well as photographs of Bridgman seated at his desk and at work in his laboratory, 1938-1959 and undated.
Bridgman graduated from Harvard in 1904; taught physics at Harvard from 1908 until 1954, when he was appointed Emeritus professor. He received the Nobel prize in physics in 1946.
