E. I. du Pont de Nemours & Company Engineering Physics Laboratory historical files, 1939-1988.
This collection primarily consists of group photographs of Engineering Physics Laboratory (EPL) staff members from 1986. Also included are a random selection of reports and documents, many associated with Paul M. Tannenbaum, formerly Senior Research Physicist at the EPL. One deals with the remote viewing and handling of materials, two on colorimetry, including a "color difference slide rule," soil temperature studies, and a recruitment brochure and single issue of the Engineering Department newsletter (1988). Also included is a T-shirt celebrating the 45th anniversary of the EPL and a pewter plate commemorating its 50th anniversary.
E.I. du Pont de Nemours & Company Engineering Department established in 1903; departmental laboratories were reorganized in June 1963 when the Engineering Physics Laboratory was created.
