Lauterbur, Paul C., 1929-2007
Paul C. Lauterbur papers, 1945-2010.
The collection contains Nobel laureate Paul Lauterbur's groundbreaking work in the field of spectroscopy. His early work, dealing with 13C spectroscopy as ewll as his inventionof NMR zeugmatography/magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) are both thoroughly documented. Lauterbur's grant applications, research data, publications, presentations, and student work are contained within the collection.
PhD in chemistry, University of Pittsburgh (1962); best known for his invention of Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), which earned him the Nobel Prize in 2003.
