Titan Mars 1973 collection, 1968-1972.
The collection consists of presentation materials for some quarterly reviews, and design presentation meetings for the Titan Mars 1973 spacecraft. Also included documents describing surface and atmospheric conditions of Mars, as well as a Mars orbit determination program.
The Titan Mars 1973 mission was a scaled-down version of the Voyager mission to Mars, cancelled by Congress in 1967. The Titan Mars 1973 mission itself was postponed to 1975 because of federal government budget constraints, and eventually became the Viking 75 Project.
