History of science oral history collection, 2009-2015.
The History of Science Oral History Collection consists primarily of interviews with scientists, with special emphasis placed on individuals who knew and worked with Linus Pauling. Also included are interviews with members of the Pauling family as well as interviews with family members of other scientists. Interviewees include Mina Carson, associate professor of history at Oregon State University and biographer of Ava Helen Pauling; Kenneth Hedberg, physical chemist; Matthew Kaiser, undergraduate in microbiology; Martin Karplus, physical chemist; Albert Kordesch, child of chemist Karl Kordesch; Erna Kordesch, widow of chemist Karl Kordesch; Hisako Kurotaki, wife of Ralph Spitzer; Stephen Lawson, administrative officer at the Linus Pauling Institute; Christopher Mathews, biochemist; Clifford Mead, archivist of the Ava Helen and Linus Pauling Papers; Cheryl Pauling, granddaughter of Linus Pauling; Kay Pauling, daughter in law of Linus Pauling; Linus Pauling Jr., son of Linus Pauling; Stephanie Pauling, daughter in law of Linus Pauling; Robert Richter, documentary film maker responsible for "Linus Pauling: Crusading Scientist"; Eloise Spitzer, daughter of Ralph Spitzer; Ralph Spitzer, graduate student of Linus Pauling.
