The Meteorological Bureau was also known as the New York State Weather Service. It operated in cooperation with the United States Signal Service. The central office, located at Cornell University, was headed by Professor E.A. Fuertes and E.T. Turner. Isaac W. Brewer served as Signal Service Assistant.
