Francis Galton collection, 1867-1909.
The Galton Collection is a miscellaneous assemblage of 15 letters and one photocopy written by Francis Galton to a variety of correspondents. These letters reflect Galton's research in meteorology, statistics, and, to a lesser degree, the heredity of intelligence.
English astronomer and eugenicist. B. A. Trinity College, Cambridge. Fellow of the Royal Society. Founded the Galton Laboratory of National Eugenics at University College London (later renamed Galton Laboratory, Department of Human Genetics and Biometry).
