Federal science study file, 1950-1951.
Correspondence and memoranda relating to a study conducted for President Harry Truman by Golden concerning the Government's organizational structure for scientific research and development and the inter-relationship of such agencies as the Research and Development Board, the National Science Foundation, and the agency which would become responsible for the functions performed by the Office of Scientific Research and Development during World War II. This study led to the organization in 1951 of the Science Advisory Committee of the Office of Defense Mobilization.
Corporate director and trustee. Assistant to commissioner, Atomic Energy Commission, 1946-1950; special consultant to President Truman to review government science activities, 1950-1951, which led to the creation of President's Science Advisory Committee.
