This collection contains Albert Eisenstein's manuscripts, notes, reprints, photographs, correspondence. The manuscripts include published and unpublished papers on vacuum tubes and electron emissions, and chapters of his book FUNDAMENTALS OF VACUUM TUBES, as well as papers delivered at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Conferences of Physical Electronics (1947, 1952, 1953) and United States Navy Electron Emissions Conferences (1949, undated). The notes relate to Eisenstein's role as an instructor at MIT and the University of Missouri, and include drawings, graphs, and figures used as illustrations. The reprints by Eisenstein and others are on the subjects of electron emissions and physical electronics. Miscellaneous photographs include experimental apparatus, and experiments in x-ray-induced luminescence.
