Ehrenhaft, Felix, 1879-1952
Felix Ehrenhaft papers, 1914-1981 (bulk 1939-1957).
Primarily correspondence (bulk dates, 1941-1947) of Felix and Lilly Rona-Ehrenhaft concerning their efforst to gain recognition for his discoveries, and clippings; reprints; lectures; manuscripts. The clippings from both the popular and scholarly press document Ehrenhaft's research in unipolar magnetic charges, and partially charged electrons; the reprints by Ehrenhaft and others are on similar topics. Correspondence (bulk dates, 1940-1952) primarily between Ehrenhaft and his children, between his son and his daughter, and between his son (Johann L. Ehrenhaft, a physician) and Ehrenhaft's physicians in Vienna. The lectures are on magnetism and were delivered by Ehrenhaft at the Universitt̃ Wien (1947-1948). Manuscripts consist of an autobiography of Ehrenhaft, portions of an unpublished book on magnetism, illustrated with photographs, and Lilly's journal entries. Also included is a photocopy of the guest book at the Ehrenhaft home in Vienna (1927-1938). Correspondents include: Mrs. Ann Alpert (Ehrenhaft's daughter), and Johann L. Ehrenhaft.
