Donald L. Veal (born 1931) helped establish the airborne research program within the Atmospheric Science Department at the University of Wyoming and served as president of University Wyoming 1981-1987. Veal served as a flight instructor for the U.S. Air Force and enrolled in University of Wyoming after his military service. Veal earned his master's degree in civil engineering in 1960 and his Ph.D. in 1964.
