This collection contains records of the American Center for Physics, Board of Directors, created by Bernard Khoury during his time on the board including his time as president.The bulk of this collection is comprised of files from the monthly meetings of the American Center for Physics (ACP) Board of Directors meetings. These files contain agendas, handouts, correspondence and notes taken by Khoury. In addition to the meeting files, this collection also contains property management proposals for the ACP building from private firms, financial documents, legal files, attorney and tax information; and miscellaneous files.
The American Center for Physics (ACP) was founded in 1992 to serve as the headquarters facility for three physics-based organizations: The American Institute of Physics, The American Physical Society, and the American Association of Physics Teachers. Later, the American Association of Physicists in Medicine entered into a sublease agreement for office space. ACP is governed by a Board of Directors, made up of six members - including two appointed by each of the three original societies.
