This collection contains the administrative files of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine (AAPM) from its founding in 1958 through 2007. The files include founding and historical documents of the AAPM, meeting materials, correspondence, membership information, and photographs. The files also include documentation of the establishment of the AAPM headquarters in College Park, MD; documentation of various AAPM programs, such as awards programs, AAPM Summer School, Commission on Accreditation of Medical Physics Educational Programs (CAMPEP); as well as files of officers of AAPM such as Gail Adams, Marvin Williams, John Laughlin, Lawrence Lanzl, John Cameron, Robert Gorson, C. J. Karzmark, Peter Wootton, Robert Waggener, Nagalingam Suntharalingam, Edward Sternick, Edwin McCullough, Paul Carson, Gary Barnes, Al Smith, Robert Dixon, James Smathers, Sal Trofi, and Dale Trout.
