Some materials pertain to his work with the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).
Professor of aeronautics and astronautics at Stanford (1960-76; emeritus 1976-77) after ten years at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. Also directed the Physical Sciences Laboratory at the United Aircraft Corporation (1960-65) and was president of the American Rocket Society (1960). An authority on rocket propulsion of space vehicles.
