Arno Allan Penzias (born 1933) is an American physicist and Nobel laureate in physics. He received his Ph.D. from Columbia University in 1962 and did most of his major research at Bell Laboratories. At the time of this interview, Arno Penzias was Executive Director of Bell Labs.
