National Air and Space Museum Peenem nde Project records, 1987-1990.
This interview set examines the development of the German Peenem nde complex from the early 1930s through World War II. The German rocket complex represented the first systematic effort to develop and use rocket technology, an effort which required the support of the Nazi state. The interviews focus on issues of technical and management practice at Peenem nde and provide insights into the relations among science, technology, and the Nazi state, thus offering an opportunity for cross-national comparison.
