Skinner, O.R. (Orville Ray), 1927-

Includes correspondence, subject files, teaching materials, research, and reference material. The author of "Relativity" and "Mechanics", Skinner's research interests included ionospheric currents and collective motions in nuclei, Hamiltonian and Lagrangian formulations of generalized mechanics, gauge field quantization, cosmology, and general relativity. One of his most important contributions was the development of innovative and effective teaching methods. An extremely gifted teacher, his ability was recognized by the University in 1987 when he was given the Master Teacher Award.
