Walter Orr Roberts papers, 1940-1990.
The papers include correspondence with some of the top scientists such as Edward U. Condon, former director of the National Bureau of Standards and a former University of Colorado physics professor; Harvard University astronomer Harlow Shapley, and University of Colorado President Robert L. Stearns. Other elements of the collection contain an education file on the challenges facing scientists after the 1957 launching of Russian Sputnik.
