Basic Theories of Modern Physics, 1964.
A draft of a possible textbook written by George Gamow that also served as course notes for one of his graduate courses he taught in 1964 at Colorado University. It has been partially edited by R. L. Campbell and covers topics such as classical mechanics, electrodynamics, general relativity, cosmology, wave mechanics, quantum statistics, quantum electrodynamics, Fermi theory of beta-decay, and others.
Ukrainian born physicist and cosmologist. Education: Novorossiya University, Odessa; University of Leningrad. Affiliations: Theoretical Physics Institute, University of Copenhagen (1928-1931); Cavendish Laboratory, Cambridge.
