HistoryMakers is a non-profit research and educational institution committed to preserving and making widely accessible the personal stories of African Americans, through video history interviews, media, products, services and events. These interviews and services spotlight leaders in art, business, civic leadership, education, entertainment, law, media, medicine, military, music, politics, religion, science, sports and style. The goal of the ScienceMakers initiative is to use these life stories to create positive role models, increase the number of African Americans, women, and other minorities entering scientific professions.
