Ricker, Norman Hurd.
Norman Ricker papers, 1916-1978 (bulk 1922-1965).
The papers include graphs and diagrams, handwritten drafts of articles, research notes, lecture notes, photographs, photograph album, reports, and correspondence documenting Ricker's years as a physicist at Western Electric (1920-1923), Humble Oil (1923-1927), the Hughes Tool Company (1927-1938), the Jersey Production Research Center of Carter Oil (1938-1959), and as a professor of physics at the University of Oklahoma (1959-1980). Subjects include the invention of the paper cone loudspeaker, seismic prospecting, wavelet theory, and the development of the plunger lift pump for drilling deep wells. Also a typescript "Autobiography."
