Research has included global paleoclimatic and paleoceanographic modeling, paleoclimate model verification, geological mass balance for the global sedimentation system, modelling tectonics, erosion and sedimentation, topographic adn bathymetric effects on climate and oceanography, global plate tectonic reconstructions, global paleogeography, geomaterial fluxes and global carbon cycle.
