The accession consists of the papers of historian of science Philip Frederick Fritz Rehbock. They include material documenting his research in the history of science, history of oceanography, and history of the Pacific region, including research materials, correspondence, teaching files and records of scientific meetings including those he chaired like the Fifth International Congress of the History of Oceanography in 1993. The accession includes manuscripts of his books and other publications, including "At sea with the scientifics: the Challenger letters of Joseph Matkin" and "Darwin's laboratory: Evolutionary theory and natural history in the Pacific".
