General records including mechanical, civil, architectural and electrical drawings and specifications of SLAC buildings, utilities, excavations and landscaping (1962-); Project files including correspondence memoranda, reports, calculations; electrical maintenance and power data; some progress photographs. Includes early materials for design of initial SLAC facilities such as Aerton-Blume-Atkinson's shop drawings, structural calculations and electrical drawings, and voluminous records of the Positron-Electron Project (PEP) design and construction.
Plant Engineering, an office of the Business Services Division, is responsible for documentation of construction and maintenance of Stanford Linear Accelerator Center (SLAC) buildings, facilities and sites. Its Documents Control staff preserves drawings and specifications, while general engineering and contract records are maintained in its main office.
