This collection contains patents, photographs, and certificates relating to Albert Hull's career at General Electric (GE). Includes photograph album of 1964 dinner attended by GE Research Lab leaders, inlcuding William Coolidge and C. Guy Suits and large photograph album given to Hull highlighting his research career and the GE Research Lab.
American physicist. Ph.D., physics (Yale, 1909). Professor, Worcester Polytechnic Institute until 1913; assistant director, General Electric Research Laboratory (1928-1950). Hull is known for his pioneering work with electron tubes, and is credited with inventing the magnetron and thyratron tubes.
