Collection of correspondence, notebooks and other manuscript material of John P. Blewett. Topics include: Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and his work on the Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS), Blewett's work with accelerators, Blewett's research in nuclear energy and other alternative energy sources. A significan portion of the collection is comprised of correspondence, including conversations with James Brittain, Robert Crease, Maurice Goldhaber, Leland Haworth, Donald Kerst, Leon Lederman, Norman Ramsey, Arthur Schawlow, Frederick Seitz, G. H. Vineyard, Victor Weisskopf, Rolf Wideroe, and Chien-Shiung Wu, among many others. Another significant portion of the collection includes notebooks documenting the subject matter of personal and professional phone converstations, as well as personal accounting books which reflect travel and daily life and work.
