This collection documents the Sloan Digital Sky Survey's project to create three-dimensional maps documenting the positions of galaxies and quasars.
The Sloan Digital Sky Survey (2000-) uses a dedicated 2.5-meter telescope at Apache Point Observatory, New Mexico, to obtain deep, multi-color images covering more than a quarter of the sky.
