Dinsmore Alter taught in the department of astronomy at the University of Kansas from 1917-1935. This collection contains clippings, correspondence, manuscripts, and research.
Ph.D., University of California (1916). He joined the faculty of the University of Kansas as an assistant professor astronomy, obtained full professor status in 1924, and retired in 1935.
