American Association of Physics Teachers. Winter Meeting (2011: Jacksonville, Fla).
Education policy: [videorecording], having an impact, improving the landscape, 2011 January 11.
The fifth symposium on physics education from the winter meeting of the American Association of Physics Teachers (AAPT) in January 2011. Policy makers make decisions everyday that impact curriculum, standards, funding, and many other aspects of physics education at all levels. AAPT works with partners to keep policy makers informed on the views of physics educators and to suggest appropriate policy options within our sphere of influence. This session brings together individuals who play pivotal roles in helping shape policies and who provide information to policy makers. We hope to provide a look at how the "sausage is made" as well as where you might help contribute some of the ingredients.
