Joseph Brooks records, 1877-1906.
Surveyor and astronomer. Brooks worked for the South Australian Department of Survey and Crown Lands 1864-1877 and the New South Wales Department of Lands 1877-1906. After retirement he became involved in Australian astronomical circles.
