This interview focuses on his successful effort to bring the Advanced Photon Source to Argonne National Laboratory.
Alan Schriesheim (1930- ) received a B.S. degree from Brooklyn Polytechnic University in New York and a Ph.D. in chemistry from Pennsylvania State University. After a 27-year career at Exxon Corporation, he was appointed director of Argonne National Laboratory where he served from 1983-1986.
