Oral history recording with Hazel de Berg 13 April 1970 in which Burhop speaks of his interests as a child; his university studies; working under Lord Rutherford in England; the physicists who influenced his development; his research work in physics; his scientific career; and the development of nuclear weapons; recorded in London.
Physicist and mathematician. Burhop (1911-1980) taught mathematics and physics from 1945 at University College, London and was Professor of Physics 1960-1978. He worked on the Manhattan Project, USA 1944-1950, won the Lenin Peace Prize 1972 and was President, World Federation of Scientific Workers 1971-1980.
