Joseph Addison Freeman notebook, 1851.
Undergraduate notes taken by Joseph Addison Freeman for lectures of a course on natural philosophy (physics), which were delivered by Professor Richard S. McCulloh in 1851 at the College of New Jersey (now Princeton University). Topics include: properties of aerodynamics, friction, hydrostatics, matter, the pendulum and its uses, and varied motion. Drawings and diagrams supplement the notes.
Joseph Addison Freeman, physician. A.B., College of New Jersey (Princeton University) (1852); A.M. (1855), M.D. (1856), College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University. During the Civil War he served as Surgeon in the 13th New Jersey Volunteers.
