American Institute of Physics. Center for History of Physics. Archives for the History of Quantum Physics.
AIP CHP Archives for the History of Quantum Physics working files, 1961.
Alphabetically arranged biographical files, in the form of correspondence or completed surveys, as part of the preliminary research for the Archives for the History of Quantum Physics (AHQP) project.
Funded by the National Science Foundation and jointly undertaken by the American Physical Society and the American Philosophical Society, with coordinating support from the American Institute of Physics. Scholars from the project interviewed many of the surviving pioneers in atomic and quantum physics and microfilmed much of their correspondence, notebooks, unpublished manuscripts, institutional records, oral history interviews, as well as the project's working papers. Much of the AHQP is described in detail in Thomas Kuhn's Sources for the History of Quantum Physics (Philadelphia: American Philosophical Society, 1967).
