Ray Edward Kidder (1923- ), physicist and mathematician. He was leader in the theoretical physics division of Lawrence Livermore Laboratory, University of California, 1956-1990. His research interests included: thermonuclear physics, astrophysics; quantum electronics, nuclear weapons design and lasers.
