Professor Holton shares his recollections of developments within the department of physics since he first came to Harvard as a student in the 1940s. He discusses his teachers and colleagues at Harvard, including Percy W. Bridgman, Edwin Kemble, Philip Frank, John Van Vleck, Kenneth Bainbridge, Philippe LeCorbeiller, Wendell Furry. This interview was done in the interest of compiling a history of the Harvard University physics department in the mid-20th century.
