Glauber, Roy J., 1925-
Oral history interview with Roy J. Glauber, 1976 December 9 and 1977 March 3.
Interview includes information on family background and pre-college education prior to entering Harvard College in 1940 where World War II cut short normal undergraduate study; became Teaching Fellow at Harvard before leaving for work at Los Alamos; return to Harvard in 1946. Session 2 focuses on Glauber's relationship with Julian Schwinger as a student, Ph.D. candidate and assistant with critique of Schwinger's work style and productivity; also includes information on Glauber's postdoctoral positions. This interview was done in the interest of compiling a history of the Harvard University Physics Department in the mid-20th century.
