Kaj Strand papers, 1875-1999 (bulk 1947-1977).

Prominent correspondents include: Arthur Beer, Bart Jan Bok, Dirk Brouwer, William A. Fowler, Walter Fricke, Henry Giclas, Ejnar Hertzsprung, Arthur Allen Hoag, Leo Houziaux, Carlos Jaschek, Gerard Kuiper, Jan H. Oort, Bengt Strm̲gren, Otto Struve, Arthur Upgren, and Peter Van de Kamp.
Strand, astronomer, writer and lecturer, was born in Hellerup, Denmark on February 27, 1907. He earned his Bachelors (1926), M.Sc. (1931), and Ph. D. (1938) degrees from the University of Copenhagen, Denmark.
