Contains correspondence and documentation leading up to the incorporation of the Acoustical Materials Association (AMA) in 1934, certificates of incorporation for the AMA, and the documents for the dissolution of the AMA in 1968. Correspondents include Wallace Waterfall (Secretary Treasurer, AMA), Edward J. Hughes (Secretary of State, Illinois), and various members of the AMA Board of Directors.
The Acoustical Materials Association (AMA) was formed in 1933 to assist in the formation of standardized acoustical testing, and was officially incorporated in 1934 by the state of Illinois. The AMA was dissolved in 1968, with the assets tranferred to Acoustical Materials and Insulation Board Manufacturers Association.
