The collection consists of correspondence by Karl Ziegler Morgan with his parents which documents his education at the University of North Carolina and Duke as well as his career as a physicist. Topics discussed include his work on the Manhattan Project from 1943-1945 at the University of Chicago and Oak Ridge National Labratory, health physics, radiation, arms control, international nuclear regulation and his attendence at the Atoms for Peace conference in 1955.
