Topics include: physics institutions in Italy and Europe including European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), International Union of Pure and Applied Physics (IUPAP), E.S.A and E.P.S.; the history of Rome University; gravitational waves and arms control organizations. Correspondence is comprised of thousands of letters representing virtually all significant physicists of Amaldi's time, including Enrico Fermi, Niels Bohr and Franco Rasetti.
