This collection consists of proposals and surveys compiled by the Princeton University Office of Occupational Health and Safety in regards to radiation safety measures taken to protect workers and researchers at the Princeton-Pennsylvania Accelerator, a particle research facility that operated on Forrestal Campus from 1957 to 1971.
The Office of Occupational Health and Safety is charged with general oversight of the Princeton University health and safety effort and with assisting University departments and offices in discharging their health and safety responsibilities. The Office of Occupational Health and Safety operates in four major areas; radiation safety, industrial hygiene, general safety, and biosafety. Major facilities falling under the Offices jurisdiction are the Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, and the Princeton-Pennsylvania Particle Accelerator (now defunct).
